TRANSLATING LIFE THROUGH A PHOTOGRAPHER'S LENS THAT SPEAK MORE THAN WORDS EVER COULD.
TRANSLATING LIFE THROUGH A PHOTOGRAPHER'S LENS THAT SPEAK MORE THAN WORDS EVER COULD.
I'm a Navajo multimedia documentarian and photographer originating from the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, currently residing in Los Angeles, California. My first Diné (Navajo) clan is Táchii'nii (Red Running Into the Water People clan), which I utilize to represent my photography as a Navajo female photographer.
In my capacity as a photographer / multimedia artist, I refer to my projects as "Indigenous Realism," which reflect the complexities and experiences of contemporary American Indians. My objective is for my work to inspire audiences to undertake a thoughtful analysis of the psychological and historical contexts that influence the representation of Native Americans in mainstream media.
As a Native photographer, I take great pleasure in capturing unforgettable images of individuals for my clients. My lens allows me to seize innovative, beautiful, and striking moments that my clients might overlook. I enjoy exercising my creativity in storytelling while simultaneously adhering to the objectives and themes that my clients specify for their campaigns, products, and messages.
